The goal of public schools should be to prepare all students to participate equally in a democratic way of life. FREE Information Session will provide resources from the Center for Civic Education programs, We the People: The Citizen and the Constitution and Project Citizen. Teachers will receive a FREE set of classroom texts and opportunities to attend in-depth institutes, also free of charge.

We the People
This is a nationally acclaimed program that helps students understand the history and principles of our constitutional government with a focus on the U.S. Constitution and Bill of Rights. We the People fosters civic competence and responsibility among elementary and secondary students in public and private schools nationwide. We offer workshops to train teachers to integrate the program in to their curriculum. After completing the training, each teacher receives a FREE class set of textbooks and ongoing support!

Project Citizen
This program is an example of a curriculum that promotes students? commitment to participating in the democratic process. Students in grades 5-12 learn about public policy and how to influence the direction of government at the local or state level.
